I think that increase of immigrants in the United States is a negative impact in the environment because as population grows, there are more traffic on the roads, and it produce a lot of gases that cantaminate the air. Due to this country has overpopulation, humans have destroyed the natural resources. For example, they have destroyed part of the Everglades in order to build, roads, houses, condos, and outdoor recreation facilities, and it has caused a lot of issues because the Everglades is a place where many animals live, and it is a natural resourse that people have to preserve.

First, it affects the population growth here in US.As you sould know immigration is one of the most importanat factor on population growth with birth rate, death rate, and emmigration. The ecological footprint here is to big. Where most of the immigrants come from are less developed countries with scarce resources, where their ecological footprint is much more small. Immigrants in general term have inffluence in economics aspects such as laws, employment and enviromental issues. They are able to work hard for the lowest salary in countries like US. While they are an important aspect in the development of any country, they also spend less resources.

Genetically modifying foods.

Genetically modifying foods is an imprecise experiment with widespread repercusiones.While this modern techonology seen like an advance, it causes many problems for people who eat the modified food, for the plants that are changed, for the farmers who typically grow the original plants, and also for the environment. In my opinion, we should try to avoid to eat the genetically modify food becuase it cause a lot of problems in our body. Also, this type of food doesn't have the protein, grease, and vitamim that natural food.

Probably a lot of the food we eat nowadays, unless we buy exclusively organic food, is genetically modified, for example, corn and soybeans. If you knew that the food you were about to eat was genetically modified, would you still eat it? Or do you make a conscious effort to avoid eating genetically modified foods. Why
Every day it is more and more difficult to find a not modified food. Only organic food has less contamination and it is not totaly thruth. Organics products are threatned with not chemicals; however, the soil where they growth may be contaminated. We human beings, have been contaminated the enviroment polluting water and air.

We need more people worried about the enviroment. Actions is what we have to do if we want a better future. Using bags and bottels more than once is better than recycle them. However, we are lazy of even recycle, and we just throw them away. If everybody would have the knowledges of the amount of energy that is consumed by industrialization, things were differents. Another important action that we can do is use less chemicals in our houses. Who has never used the new product for the hair. Advertaisments anounces them as the best item in the world. In contrast, a week later they show another one and the old one is never again the best. Then people just throw away the old one and buy the last one. Don't we have to think about it? Problems like air pollution and water pollution were caused for humans. As well as we made the damage, we must repaired. This new generation will be the generation of tomorrow. Now is our time of do something. We just have to start in this moment.

Every day I take many actions in order to preserve the environment better. I use the proper container for paper, plastic bottle, and garbage. I try to follow the rules of my building where I live in order to have a good environment. I never throw away anything on the streets such as paper etc.

Vegetarian diets

The vegetarian diet is becoming increasingly popular all the time. In my opinion a decade ago the impression was a vegetarian diet was lacking in the nutrients, but today people have been proven that they can find all the nutrients in the correct vegetarian diet. For example, vegetarians tend to eat more fruit, vegetables, and grains.They also tend to get more exercises. I would like to become a vegetarian because is healthier and it has good benefits. For example, vegetarians replace the red meat in their diets with vegetables, fruit, and products make from soya, which are good in order to avoid deseases, overweigh and other health problems.

In order to make a decision you first must balance advantages and disavantages of become vegetarian. With the overpopulation predicts by scientifics, the animal species must be preserve. Eating vegetables which are naturals resources that we can easily replaced, we are helping with the planet's sustainability. In addition, meet contains blood and alive organisms that the vegetables don't have. Animals have brain so that they can feel pain. At the moment that they are being killed, they felt the pain as well as human beings. Talking about how health this two groups are, they are pretty different. Vegetables don't contain cloresterol (at least not the majority). They are not elaborated by humans. In contrast, they are natural sources of minerals and vitamines. Vegetarianism have also bad times. Weeks ago the spinach was contaminated by a fatal bacteria. On the other hand, some kind of meets are not allow in heathy diets because the damage that can cause us. In my personal case I belong to both sides, for is better to have a lot of choices at home.

There are also different kinds of vegetarians: strict vegetarians (vegans) avoid food from any animal origin, including dairy products and eggs; lacto-vegetarians eat dairy products but avoid animal flesh; ovovegetarians include eggs in their diet, whereas lact-ovo-vegetarians eat eggs and dairy products; and pesco-vegetarians eat fish, dairy products, and eggs (but no red meat). Have you ever considered becoming a vegetarian? Are you one now? What factors would influence you to make such a decision?

Solutions about environmental problems in Colombia

In my opinion there are many solutions to prevent the environmental problem in Colombia. The first solution is to take the old busses out of service becuase they produce a lot of gases that contaminate the air. The second solution is to charge people who desobey the recycling rules. The last solution is to preserve the natural resources for example for every tree that is cut down, four must be planted.

Society must be aware that the problem of water pollution affects everybody. Society needs the help of institutions and people with enough power to take strong actions and decisions in order to solve the problem. Analizing the risks that those actions or decisions are going to have in our society. Start thinking about natural resourses and the nature in general as part of us(human beings). Water is an ecological resourse to us. The damage that we, human beings, had made to nature is as huge as the gap between this present and a better future. In my countryl they have to find the problem before take decisions. Then the union of each person that lives in the area is neccesary to solve the problem. Another important decision that the country must take is to elimininate those companies that left the garbage and chemical sustancies in the lake. Those companies must never be situated close of the city or water resources. The evaluation of the problem as well as the cause have to be discuss in order to avoid to make the same mistakes in the future. In our hands is the future of next generations. Working together and solving the serious problems that our planet holds, is nothing in front of what does nature have done for us without a back answer. We are never thanks enough for what creation have done . In contrast, we have been destroying creation without care.

The most serious environmental problems in my home country: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The most environmental problem in my country Dominican Republic is deforestation. 5 years ago I read a article that said " We need one thousand years for forest ours country". I have been living in Miami for 2 years and I haven't seen deforestation in this state because the government has people who love and protect the nature and natural environment. Also, the people who practice deforestation always live in the countryside Maybe they practice deforestacion for lack of knowledge or for make money!. Also, deforestation affect the ozone layer and the human health. In my personal opinion, We can avoid deforestation teaching the latin American the important of the forest for the environment and for the human being. For example, in Miami when some hurricanes come here affect the environment because a lot of trees are throwing in the street and also affect the human when don't have electricity and the sun burn ours bodies for lack of trees.

First of all, water pollution is a large set of adverse effects upon water bodies caused by human activities. I am from Holguin, Cuba, and the big problem in my city is water pollution. For example, it is a lake in the north of the city called Gibara. The place has been polluted by huge industries situated behind. I know that pollutants in water include a wide spectrum of chemical, some of them substances toxic. Aware that this is the case of Gibara Lake, it had been also caused of death. A lot of fish species which were before inhabitants of the lake are now in extinction. Radical measures have to be taken in order to solve this horrible problem. It affects everybody. First, the lake provided water to Holguin population. In addition, it was a source of aliment because it had a lot of species of fish. Despite it is closed, some people still use the shores as beach. Thinking about the environment is was the only reserve of clear water in the city. Thinking in the animals and in the species victims of this problem it is must be treated as an emergency. We humans are destroying our sources of energies, food and water. Holguin is waiting for a solution to that problem since 2004. As Gibara, a lot of lakes, rivers ans oceans have the same problem. If we are supioreor because we can think, why don't we save our habitat?

Environmental problem in my country: COLOMBIA

The environmental problem in my home country has many issues and very serious. There are many reasons of contamination in Colombia like too much public transportation, increase of deforestation,and recycle problem. In my opinion, the cities in Colombia have overpublic transportation that produce an extensive amount of gases. Also, I think Colombia's ambition plan to develop their economy has been using natural resources for the extraction and exportation, for example, deforestation has been increasing and it cause serious problems. Another important reason is recycle. Colombia has rules to protect the environmental like recycle, however people do not allow them. They throw garbage everywhere, and they do not use separate container for plastic, paper, and garbache.
